Technology Lifecycle Management Partnerships Boost Offerings Across
End-Markets
PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Jacobs
Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that in the past
six months it has been selected to design and procure innovative
information technology and telecommunications solutions for a number of
U.S. federal sector clients, collectively representing contract values
totaling over $300 million. Jacobs’ scope of work under the terms of
these contracts includes engineering design, procurement, installation
and maintenance of operational systems.
Building upon its acquisition of FNS
in July 2014, Jacobs has recently expanded channel partner agreements
with numerous original equipment manufacturers, enabling Jacobs to use
and customize emerging technologies to design, integrate, secure,
operate and maintain its clients’ network and desktop operations, data
transport, data storage, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Robert
Norfleet stated, “The rapid advancement and innovation in this market
require companies and government agencies to carefully consider how they
build, enhance, finance, and secure their critical communications
infrastructures. We are pleased to be able to offer our clients the most
advanced customized information and technology solutions that are
sustainable, reflect today’s constrained budget environment, and meet
the unique needs of our range of clients.”
In addition to its federal clients, Jacobs’ commercial customers in the
telecom end-market also benefit from the company’s expanded channel
partner agreements and technology lifecycle management offerings. In the
past year Jacobs
has bolstered its telecom capabilities for both public and
government clients, supported by a number of acquisitions that together
enhance its ability to provide a broad suite of information technology
and telecommunications services across multiple end-markets.
Jacobs is one of the world's largest and most diverse providers of
technical professional and construction services.
