Providing General Engineering Consultant Services for Private-Public
Partnership Projects

Jacobs
Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced that it received a
contract from the Texas
Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to provide general engineering
consultant (GEC) services for public-private partnership (PPP) projects
in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to be delivered through design-build,
concession and other alternative delivery methods.
Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is delivering GEC services
through an Indefinite Deliverable/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract
over a period of six years. Jacobs’ scope of work includes services
ranging from planning, design, construction oversight, and owner
verification testing.
Jacobs has served in a North Texas TxDOT GEC role since 2004 when it was
awarded a contract to manage the development and implementation of the
I-635 (LBJ) Express Managed Lanes Project. Additionally, Jacobs is GEC
for the DFW Connector, North Tarrant Express (Segment 3A) and SH 183
(Midtown Express) Managed Lanes projects.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President, Randy Pierce,
